Dr. Tim Brister grew up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. In 2002, he graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Dr. Tim then completed three additional years of specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. This specialized program of study and hands-on experience prepared him to meet the unique needs of infants, children and adolescents, including those with special health care needs. He received a Master’s degree in Dental Public Health at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, as well as the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and the Center for Disabilities and Development.
Dr. Tim is a member of the following dental organizations: Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society, Texas Dental Society, and North Texas Dental Society.
He decided to specialize in pediatric dentistry because after being a general dentist, he realized that when he was working with children, he felt like he was making a difference. Dr. Tim believes kids are like sponges just waiting for someone with a little patience to show them how to do things.
Limiting his practice enables him to set up an environment designed to encourage imagination and learning. Dr. Tim enjoys being a pediatric dentist because it is one of the few professions where a professional can have fun with children all day long and watch them grow up from infancy all the way to college.
In his spare time, Dr. Tim likes spending time with his wife, Heather, daughter Paige, and son Hayden; restoring old cars; camping; cooking; and visiting small towns in Texas.
